Our helpdesk runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to help you with any problems you might have.

Health

Seafarers often experience heatlh problems while serving their contracts. Common health problems suffered by seafarers include personal injury, heart disease, diabetes, weight management problems, sexually transmitted diseases, substance abuse. SeafarerHelp can help you by supplying factsheets of various conditions and putting you in contact with maritime health organisations around the world. Information can be provided about access to local medical facilities and contact made with them where necessary.

SeafarerHelp can also arrange for a local maritime charity to visit and support you should you need hospital treatment and can provide ongoing support via telephone. If you are not able to receive treatment in port and require repatriation, we can help to arrange transfer back to your home country. If you wish, we will be happy to stay in contact with your family and update them with your progress.
